After WRHS I went to college at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta to study aerospace engineering. This lead to a job at Pan American World Airways in Miami and began my airline career. After a year in the Republic of South Vietnam in the Air force, I returned to Colorado and earned a B.A. in Mathematics at the University of Colorado. I then continued my flying career with 5 years as a flight instructor and 10 years flying corporate jets for Getty Oil out of Denver. For the next 20 years I flew Boeing jets for Continental Airlines on transcontinental routes and took early retirement in 2004.

My wife, Suzanne Seitz, and I just celebrated our 40th wedding aniversary and we have one daughter, Andrea. We moved from Boulder to Carmel by the Sea, California in 2002 and then down to Montecito, California just South of Santa Barbara in 2006.
