Still in Colorado, semi-retired, & enjoying life with Yvonne, a 19-year old cat, & a yellow lab. After WRHS, I went to Doane College, then CU & somehow attained three degrees. First real job was at Hazen Research (’63 Lisa Hazen’s grandpa started), plus a WR Fire District volunteer officer & WR Police & JeffCo Sheriff arson investigator. In the 70’ to 80’s taught off-&-on at the Colorado School of Mines, CU, & DU. Left WR in 1975; I was tired of commuting to Boulder. Also, retired from the Federal Government – I mastered “smoke & mirror” bureaucratic techniques. I’m blessed with two adult children from 1st marriage & three granddaughters. In 1995, married Yvonne, my 2nd wife. We moved to Highlands Ranch when our church decided to also relocate. Yvonne & I remain faithful apprentices to Jesus Christ, our Lord & Savior. I’m still custom building, restoring & repairing bamboo fly rods, tying flies & am an Orvis endorsed fishing guide at ElkTrout Lodge over the summers. And, yes, I still find time to fly fish!

2005 New Zealand South Island German Brown trout trip.

AND --- Colorado also has some big trout. This German Brown taken on the Blue River.
