After graduating from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon with a double major in English & History and completing graduate studies at the University of Denver (M.A. degree), I began a 12 year radio career in announcing, sales & management that began at KLAK AM-FM in Denver (now KYGO) and ended at WJIL in the Jacksonville/ Springfield, Illinois market. I then switched gears and joined the Journalism faculty at the nationally ranked School of Journalism at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky where I have taught the business classes in
broadcasting (sales, marketing & managememt) for the past 29 years. Along the way, I also completed my Ph.D. in Mass Communication.

I have written two hardcover books in advertising and marketing (published by Prentice Hall/Allyn & Bacon and Quorum Books)and several papers for conference presentation. I also train broadcast sales and management personnel nationwide in my seminar business. Although none of you can hire me for a broadcast gig, I am happy to support the efforts of our terrific reunion committee by serving as a Sponsor for our 45th reunion.

Right now, plans are to retire as Professor of Broadcasting in 2009 to ease into my 60s on my Harley Heritage Softail Classic and to spend more time with Carol (recently retired as Associate Director of Career Services at WKU), my wife of 35 years, at our West Coast Florida home.

I'm very much looking forward to returning to Colorado and to seeing everybody - even those I didn't know well! Go Farmers!
